Huron HighlandNot only is this rich color of Huron Highland appealing but the minute crystals of clear calcite can be seen to sparkle under the suns rays. This uniquely appealing flat and stackable stone ranges from landscape outcropping, wallstone, flagstone, handstack, natural steps and crushed aggregate. Applications are well suited for retaining walls, seawalls, steps & footpaths and waterfeatures.

Geologist Notes:
Deposited as a limestone nearly 2 billion years ago in an ancient sea on the southern edge of the Canadian Sheild is where Huron Highland was subjected to high temperatures and pressures during the later Grenville Orogeny. The rock was transformed into a tough, hard, dense, compact marble. This transformation caused the impurities in the parent limestone to recrystallize into a tough quartz-impregnated dolomite of a highly unique chocolate brown hue.
