Superiors' unique structure and long-lasting geological composition makes it exceptionally useful for building and landscaping applications of retaining walls, seawalls, steps, footpaths, waterfeatures as well as architectural and dimensional stone applications. Geologist Notes:
This sedimentry rock is primarily composed of Calcium Carbonate or (strata layers) that was once dissolved in the waters covering the Midwest Great Lakes region after the glaciers melted. As the waters drained and dried, this limnological stone was deposited in even layers, creating a solid stone with a fine-grained structure.
