PROJECT NAME: Southfield Town Center

PROJECT MANAGER: Wade Trim & Associates, Engineers
INSTALLATION & DESIGN INPUT: Ray Rogers Jr.

DESIGN PURPOSE:
To revive the indoor space or "common area" of the Southfield Town Center by redesigning a waterfall and existing pond area into a focal point. The renovation of the common area will improve the marketability of leasing out the space for not only private parties but high profile corporate events.

The equipment was fitted with special mufflers and air filters to prevent from fumes in the office setting. The material and equipment were brought into the atrium of the high-rise through a few removable panels. The crews were working after hours and during working hours.

Stone Type: Lake Superior Limestone
Stone Sizes: 3-6' long x 4"-18" thick x random depth

The detail given to the stone work creates an extremely natural setting. Because there was very little grade change there was a challenge tying into the existing pond. Overall the pond and falls are able to be viewed from all angles effectively.

The seemingly bottomless black bottom pond reflects the patterns of the glass towers and sky above.

From four stories up the common area has established a wonderful traffic flow enhanced with an abundance of tropical plant material.
